Saving and reusing optimization settings

If you create custom optimization settings that you plan on reusing, save them for future use in optimization or batch processing. Saving custom presets stores:

Settings in the Optimize panel.
The color palette in the Color Table panel.
Frame delay chosen in the Frames panel.

To save optimization settings as a preset:

1 Click the Save button in the Optimize panel.
2 Type a name for the optimization preset and click OK.
Saved optimization settings appear at the bottom of the Settings pop-up menu in the Optimize panel. They are available in all subsequent documents.

The preset file is saved in the Fireworks 3\Settings\Export Settings folder.

To share saved optimization settings with another Fireworks user:

Copy the saved optimization preset file from the Fireworks 3\Settings\Export Settings folder to the same folder on another computer.

To delete a custom preset optimization:

1 In the Optimize panel Settings pop-up menu, choose the optimization setting you want to delete.
2 Click the Delete button at the bottom of the Optimize panel.
You cannot delete a preset optimization that ships with Fireworks.
